Dr. Bassam Abazid was raised in a family with a background in healthcare. Four of his brothers are physicians; a Pediatrician, a General Surgeon, Orthopedic Surgeon, and Cardiologist. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in Biology with a concentration on Biochemistry with the highest honors.
In 2008, Dr. Abazid graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry. There, he received the Outstanding Senior Award, the Deans Award, and the Award of Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry.
During his senior year in dental school, Dr. Abazid’s instructors noticed his skills and perfectionism. As a result, he was privileged to assist his instructors in teaching 1st and 2nd-year dental school students.
Dr. Abazid is a member of the Alpha Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society. He strives to stay on the cutting edge of new dental technologies. Every month, Dr. Abazid travels to attend continuing education courses that help him stay on the cutting edge of technology to provide his patients with the best treatment possible.
